I love that you are so honest about your life in this blog. I always am excited to read a new post, because of this. Your blogs often reminds me of occurrences in my life that relate to what you talk about in one way or another. I hope you continue blogging when you have time; it helps me to know that there are other people out there who are growing up and going through similar experiences.

Your move from Montreal to Toronto sounds both exciting and terrifying. I am not going to lie to you; I believe most apartments are going to be terrible, no matter where you go. Fixing up your apartment must be quite the adventure, if not a bit frustrating.

Despite a higher price range, the education you will receive will most likely be of a much higher caliber and the teachers will focus more on you and less on just getting through the day, so they can go home and do whatever it is they do. I think many people don’t think about the different opportunities schools would have and just choose one within their comfort zone, instead of stepping outside of the box and going on the adventure. It makes me smile that you are so passionate and determined about what you love to do, at such a young age.

Ah, yes, that is atypically how it works out. You have to sort through the people who are going to have a negative impact upon your life, to find the true people who will be honest with you, be a good friend and have your back. It gets easier, over time, when it comes to finding people who you will be just as much of family to. Oddly enough, I am the exact same way. There are people I will say hello to in passing and hang out with, then there are the people I trust to the fullest extent and love with all my heart.

Job hunting is quite the pain, especially when it comes to summer time. Sounds like you have been having a good experience, so far. The interviewer sounds like a sweetheart, as most people do their best to pressure and make you nervous! I wish you all the luck – fingers crossed that you get the job! (:

I understand completely. I live in the South of France, Cannes to be more precise. It’s full of people who only care about partying in nightclubs, drinking, getting high. I have a lot of friends like that but I’ve known them all my life and we’ve still managed to create a really strong friendship. I’m not at all part of the whole ‘drinking’, ‘I-smoke-because-it’s-cool’, ‘let’s-party-every-night’ kind of thing. And a lot of my friends do those things occasionally and they understand me for not taking part yet they still invite me over. And I do go if it’s a special occasion.

And that’s what I appreciate about them. You can still be really good friends with people you care about no matter how different you are. And that’s when I know I can rely on them because we don’t treat each other differently.

Anyway, that was long (and probably boring, sorry!) but yeah. Oh, and I hope you’ll get the job. Let’s hope the manager is a sweet lady, too and not some useless old dude that stinks of cigars and BO and whose grey mustache is all yellow because he drinks too much coffee.

Have fun dealing with your room! I can’t wait to see the pictures. I hope you took pics of the rooms BEFORE you changed them. I’d like to see your style, what you did to improve.

i live in toronto also! it’s a great city once you’re used to it….my favourite place to hang out is Queen West, it’s where all of the funky clothing stores and music stores are….for photography? well it depends what you want, there’s this really cool + huge old graveyard near my house in the west end…its amazing for gothic kind of shoots, but there’s also the lakeshore and high park and i’ve done a shoot at queen west once. still have to get the film developed for that one though!

Reading your blog is turning into a hobby, to me it sounds like I’m reading a book “the life of Alex Evans” or something like that ?. I envy you, I don’t know how you were able to leave your home to study somewhere else, I was also going to do that but the thought of leaving everything behind stopped me, I’m scared of new things (I know stupid) mainly because I don’t know what to expect when I leave. Unlike you I don’t have the strength to start over again, I really appreciate the fact that you take your time to write this blog for us to read, or maybe you just do it for yourself either way it helped me understand that life is tough but even in the most darkest moments, where things just don’t seem to go the way we plan them to, there will always be a light to guide us..Yes..I know..cheesy .
