family drama.

i’m sorry if i haven’t been posting lately, i’ve been dealing with certain family issues. i don’t really feel comfortable talking about it to just anyone right now, so it’s all i’m going to say. but i keep up, and things are slowly getting into place. i can’t let it get to me, because then when you’re sad and depressed, you also somehow make everyone around you sad and depressed as well, or you just don’t help the situation. and i’ve been having such weird dreams lately, it’s probably due to all the stress and drama. but i’ve honestly never had such strange dreams before, whenever i wake up i’m really just like “WTF?” because i can’t even believe the dreams i had. but yeah, i need to stay strong to help my family, especially my sister. i’ll probably talk to you about it all later, when things get into place and that i feel more comfortable about the situation, if that ever happens.

my friend is back from NYC for thanksgiving, and i’m seeing him today! it’s exciting. he moved to NYC to go to Parson last summer. i’m so jealous… i yet have to visit him over there. but to be honest i try to avoid new york, it’s too easy to spend money over there. whenever i’d go i’d spend way too much money on all kind of things i didn’t need. he wants to use me as a model for one of his projects for school, and the theme is like “80′s grunge” if i heard right. it sounds like fun. and he said we’ll order pizza too. hopefully today will make me forget about things. and then i have work later today from 5 to 9.

then no work until monday. i asked for this weekend off.

the iphone has finally stolen my soul.

yes, yes, i’ve finally had my soul stolen by the iphone. i’ve been a blackberry person for the past three years, and for the past few weeks i’ve been annoyed about how little you can do with it. the internet browser is just awful, the text messages inbox is annoying, it often lags, it takes forever to turn back on when you do a reset, the applications are cheap and poorly designed, when you send emails you randomly get a copy of every single of them to your inbox, when you add a contact to your phonebook it sometimes takes five minutes to load once you click save, etc. and it seems like i’m completely bashing on the blackberry, and i’m really not. maybe the curve is the only one having such technical issues and poor functions, and i’ve had the pearl before the curve, which was way worst, i’d have to call customer service every week cause i’d never get the text messages, or my data would just randomly get erased. but yeah, having a blackberry was somehow a good experience. there are worst phones out there. but i think it’s pretty safe to say that lately the iphone has overdone the blackberry, by a hundred points.

it’s just so much more convenient of a phone. of course, the applications are pretty much the most attractive part to most people, but it’s not just that. the internet browser is a hundred years ahead of the blackberrys internet browser. you can actually visit any website you want on your iphone, which is kinda nice. i had an internet plan on my blackberry, and would barely use it because it just sucked so much. and my blackberry monthly plan was twenty five dollars more expensive than the plan i have now for my iphone. which is another reason why i decided to get the iphone. first i save money, but then i also get to enjoy my phone a lot more by being able to do more. and yes, touchscreens can be a little annoying, i’ve had the prada phone in the past, and got severely annoyed with it after just a few weeks, but you get used to it. and the iphone works a lot better than the prada phone. and it’s very similar to the ipod touch which i’ve had for a while, so i don’t really have any “getting used to” to do. and in case you’re wondering, my other personal favorite part of the iphone is the text messages inbox. i love the way it’s designed. it’s so well organized, and it looks like when you have a conversation on ichat. and you don’t have a characters limit when you text, so it’s cool. on my blackberry i’d have to make 20 different texts when i’d wanna say something long.

so yes, i am an iphone person now. and who knows, maybe one day i’ll go back to the blackberry, if it ever gets to the iphone’s level, or even better. but i doubt that. apple usually outdoes every other companies. and this is it for my geeky post about phones. and in a way, i guess it’s fine that i have so much to debate about for such a subject, i mean, who doesn’t have a cellular phone in 2009? and who doesn’t honestly care about what phone they have? see, i’m not so wrong for caring!

geek business.

i really do wish that my life was entertaining enough in order for me to be able to amaze you with awesome stories every day, but other than work i haven’t been doing much lately. i usually work around 2pm, so from when i wake up to when i need to leave for work i don’t really have time to do much.. so i usually don’t do much, then i either get home at 7:30pm, or 9:30pm, and don’t really do much then because it’s too late to actually do something! but wednesday this week i don’t have work, well i usually don’t work on wednesdays, and i’m planning on taking pictures with my friend. it’s a little warmer out this week, it feels like the beginning of spring and we haven’t even gotten through winter yet. it’s kinda weird. but i’m enjoying it. our fall has been very cold so far, so a little bit of warm weather is pretty much enjoyed. we’re planning on taking pictures around 9am, which is something i’ve never really done before, but it’s to make sure that nothing is going to fail. i usually take pictures around let’s say 3 or 4pm, but at this time of the year it gets dark at 4:30pm, which usually ruins it all. and it usually gets colder around that time too. so to make sure nothing is gonna ruin my little photo session i decided to simply do the photoshoot at 9am and avoid all random complications. and hopefully it will be warm early in the morning because wearing a huge winter jacket usually looks ugly on camera, and i’m not trying to do a christmas promo or anything.

the phone company that i have been with for the past 2 years (Telus) just recently got the iphone. for the past maybe 2 years and a half or three it was only sold through Rogers (an annoying phone company that i have been with in the past) kinda like how A&T has the exclusive for the iphone in the united states. and i’m kinda happy that Rogers lost the exclusive because they’ve got to be one of the worst phone companies. i went to Telus yesterday to ask how much it would cost me monthly for the iphone and all, and we figured a plan that’d be even cheaper than what i pay monthly right now for my blackberry, and let’s be honest.. you can do so much more with the iphone. the internet browser is 938498 times better, and it packed with awesome applications. and i’ve kinda grown tired of my blackberry curve, it’s been acting strange lately, like sometimes i don’t get text messages, and mainly don’t get text messages coming from people with iphones, how annoying. i think blackberrys and iphones just don’t like each other! and at first i really was against the idea of the iphone, it seems overrated and all. but my phone company is offering me some deal if i extend my contract, so i’d get the iphone 3Gs 16 gb for almost half price, which isn’t too bad at all. and my sister wants the blackberry, so i’d just give her mine. she’s had this one stupid phone LG SHINE or something and she’s about to throw it out the window, it keeps having problems. and just like me she hates when technologies fail. isn’t it upsetting though? you pay so much for something, and then it can’t even work properly for more than a year.

anyway, just as i was saying, i don’t have any amazing stories to tell, which is probably why i’m talking to you about phone companies… i’d tell you things about work, or silly stories that have happened ever since i work there, but i don’t wanna risk getting fired in case one of my co-workers or boss would randomly come across this blog. one day, i’ll let you know all about it.

i work 3pm to 7pm again today, and ugh, hopefully it won’t be as slow as yesterday. the store closes at 7pm from monday to wednesday and last night around 6pm i was about to shoot myself in the head. there was absolutely nothing at all to do. no customers either. can’t wait for the december/christmas time. at least it will get busier. or i imagine it will…

oh, and i think you should watch lady gaga’s new music video for Bad Romance. it’s definitely one of the best videos i’ve seen in a very long time. i was speechless the first time i watched it… it’s just so different, creative, strange, ridiculous, amazing!
