impolite wants you.

i’m currently working on the new impolite website which is going to include a whole new section dedicated to its buyers. i won’t let you know now what exactly it’s gonna be like since i don’t wanna spoil the surprise, but it’s gonna be great. if you bought anything from impolite before, i would really love you to send me pictures you’ve taken of you wearing what you bought! as soon as i get a few, there will be a page on the website with all the pictures from the buyers. i will also, once in a little while, feature my favorite pictures on the main page of the website, or in other words, in the “news” section. doesn’t it sound great? i think it does.

any type of pictures is welcome – as long as you’re wearing what you purchased – but of course, i’d appreciate if you could submit high resolution pictures rather than webcam pictures. and the more creative your pictures are, the more chances you get to be featured in the news.

and now, i’ll be waiting for your pictures.

monday, tuesday, wed., thursday and friday.

ahhhh, i’ve been so busy the past days. and this week, i’m having a photoshoot a day! i won’t complain, because usually i complain that i can never find any models to photograph, etc. on monday i did a photoshoot with my sister for the new impolite zipper hoodies. it went well i think, although i wish i had my new portrait lens. i hate the lens i currently have, it’s so hard to work with. i won’t get into details because all those camera terms are hard to understand for people who aren’t into photography all that much, but basically, the lens i have right now is more of a landscape lens than a portrait lens. and i mostly take portraits…. so yeah, that’s why i’m upset. and lenses are crazy expensive. the one i’d love to have is more expensive than my camera. how insane is that? very good portrait lenses usually cost from $1200 to $2200. so yeah, i should forget about this idea for a while, and try to be happy with what i have already.

yesterday i had a shoot with my friend who used to go to my school. it was a lot of fun, mostly because i did something very different and a lot more mature. i’m working on this new project/portfolio where i do series of photographs rather than just one or two photographs. i don’t know if you understand what i mean, but basically, every shoot i try to get at least 15 good, similar but still different pictures. it’s going to make my portfolio look a lot better. and yesterday, the whole photoshoot was black and white, except for like 20 pictures. i don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing. i personally love love love love to shoot in black and white. i find b&w pictures to be so much more effective, and interesting looking too. but maybe that’s just me. i’ll try to force myself to shoot in color too in my next shoots this week.

then today, thursday, and friday… it’s supposed to rain. i found out last night. and that’s really depressing. because each those days i have shoots, and they’re all supposed to be outside. i might be able to find somewhere to shoot in on thursday and friday since it isn’t right away, but for today, i doubt i can, it’s a little too late to just change my plans. i’m meeting my friend around 4pm, and photographing her downtown. it might be for the new zipper hoodies, i’m not sure yet. i’ll bring one on the shoot anyway. i’ll probably end up taking both regular pictures and pictures for the hoodies. it’s nice to have more of a diversity of people modeling for impolite.

we complain when we’re busy, but we’re usually having the best time of our lives when we are.
i’m gonna go get ready now. i have a lot to do today. first i’m going to ship the impolite orders, and then off to the gym. and later, the photoshoot.
